2015 is set to be another busy but exciting year for Heifer International South Africa (Heifer). The Blouberg project, which is our largest project to date at 2100 families in the Limpopo Province, will be entering its second year. This year will see the delivery of more goats and chickens to the project members whom have already completed their livestock shelters and they happily look forward to the new business opportunities the animals will bring.
2015 will also see the start of our new Jozini project in Northern KwaZulu-Natal in which 2500 families will be working to develop the local goat value chains. This new project will be funded by EuropeAid.
The beginning of this year will also see the completion of our two new agricultural hubs in our Zusiphe project and our Phuhlisanani project. These hubs will enable our project members to package and sell their vegetables to local communities and the nearby stores for a greater income.
Angelo Page has reached Canada as part of Expedition 720°, in which he plans to circumnavigate the World from East to West and Pole to Pole and you can track his journey on his webpage, www.expedition720degrees.com and help him raise money to end hunger and poverty through Heifer.
