It is difficult to predict the exact date he will arrive in Fairbanks as conditions are terrible at the moment for him. If the weather opens up a little and his exact words were, "minus 12 degrees is warm" - (compared to the minus 35 degrees of a few days ago), he should make it in earlier. Its been difficult riding since Fort Nelson, the northern rockies are spectacular and extremely challenging. I was lucky to get this close to these Bison. Eric and I have another 500 km to go till Whitehorse.

I arrived yesterday afternoon in Fort St John after 480km in 6 days, temperatures of below -25C/-13F and discovered that I have damaged the tissue in my left foot. Ill take this opportunity to take some rest and work on some fundraising efforts for Heifer International South Africa until fully recovered. Just want to say that everything is going well, first two days have been great, enjoying the sun and warm weather before temperatures start to drop. Thank you for all the support its been unreal. Will reply all messages as soon as I take a rest day
Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that I would be saying this: "In 30 minutes I start a 8 year journey around the planet entirely on my own steam." This is an extremely emotional moment in my life. I am feeling elated, scared and overwhelmed with excitement!

This is an article featuring Expedition 720° ( I have no idea what its about, as I don't read Portuguese unfortunately ). The way it came to my attention is rather remarkable. My friend Eduardo Oliveira in Brazil got a call from his father and asks, if he would be interested in receiving a magazine about bicycling? As Eduardo father is not a cycling enthusiast.
