Update: Angelo is about 300km from crossing the finish line for leg 1: Los Angelos to Fairbanks

It is difficult to predict the exact date he will arrive in Fairbanks as conditions are terrible at the moment for him. If the weather opens up a little and his exact words were, "minus 12 degrees is warm" - (compared to the minus 35 degrees of a few days ago), he should make it in earlier. To track... him live: go to www.exp720.com The tracker is on his home page.

Media coverage

This is an article featuring Expedition 720° ( I have no idea what its about, as I don't read Portuguese unfortunately ). The way it came to my attention is rather remarkable. My friend Eduardo Oliveira in Brazil got a call from his father and asks, if he would be interested in receiving a magazine about bicycling? As Eduardo father is not a cycling enthusiast. So Eduardo receives the copy, and just before going to bed has a quick squizz and comes across a featured article about Expedition 720°. His imediate response was WTF, this is my mate from South Africa. I had no idea that this had been published. It really is a small world. Thank you Eduardo for bring this to my attention.
